War of the Worlds (2005) - To be honest, I assume the appearing within the 1953 film was barely better and I simply did not purchase Tom Cruise as a father figure. But, the modern special results expertise made a huge distinction and made this film the version I would recommend seeing.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) - If given a choice between this film and the 1971 Willie Wonka amp; The 4 Tips to Pick Out a Good Movie Chocolate Factory, I would select both as a result of they each make a great case. The Stepford Wives (2004) - I really watched the 1975 authentic and this one again-to-again one Saturday morning. I undoubtedly prefer the remake. The appearing is a bit more plausible and I like the added twist on the very end (the one which reveals who was really answerable for building the robotic wives).
Halloween (2007) - When I went to see this film at the theater, I thought there was no way it would reside up to the unique (filmed in 1978). But, I actually enjoyed this one because it targeted a bit extra on Michael Myers' childhood and added a bit more depth to the monster that may later terrorize youngsters.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988) - I truly did not know this was a re-make of the 1964 movie Bedtime Story until I noticed the latter on television. While the original has its deserves, it could possibly't live up to Steve Martin's performance in the remake.
The Pink Panther (2006) - Since we're as regards to Steve Martin, I may even throw this film on the list. Much like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, both the unique and the remake are ok where it is exhausting to choose between them. But, the remake of The Pink Panther stays on the list as a result of it was as good as the primary.
The Fly (1986) - Much like War of the Worlds, the appearing in the 1958 unique was slightly higher. But, better make up and expertise made Jeff Goldblum's transformation much more plausible.
King Kong (2005) - Much like different films on this record, the remake of the 1933 movie of the identical name does not make it as a result of it was better; it makes it as a result of it kept lots of the stuff that made the original great however added another twists that made the movie distinctive in its own means. Scarface (1983) - Not only is that this film better than the 1932 model; many individuals I talk to don't even realize the 1932 model (which is about an Al Capone-like gangster) even exists.
